Our Journey into the Jeep Experience |
Places to go in Texas |
You can follow our Journey on YOUTUBE
Plenty of information on our CO2 tank at Offroadairbuddy.com
Did you know there is almost no public land in
Texas!?!?! I Didn't!
It's really hard to find places to enjoy your Jeep offroad
here. But here's a few that I've found so far:
|

|
|
In our opinion this is fine for
beginners thru
experienced Offroaders. If you
are new tell
them at the office and they'll
mark the easier
trails on your map.
|
This one seems a little more
difficult than Hidden Falls,
IMHO. Probably a bit much for beginners.
|
|
There are some water crossings and
mostly
dirt roads throughout the Central Texas Hill
Country. Stock vehicles are fine. |
|
This is a free area of the beach
where
you can still drive on the beach and thru
some trails in the marshes. Stock vehicles
can handle this terrain just fine.
|
East of the town of High Island,
TX there are
the remains of a coastal freeway that is now gone
you can still drive that route during low tide.
Be careful, lots of cars get claimed by the bay out there.
Stock vehicles are fine, if you know how to drive on sand.
|
Muddy, muddy. Mud is the
theme here.
Bigger tires, lifts and lockers would be a
very big help here. At least good recovery
gear and a winch wouldn't hurt. |
Big Bend National Park
Black Gap Road (Badge of Honor Trail)
Chrisy
drove it like a boss
This was our first Badge trail, we
had to do the only trail in Texas
that's on the program. Stock vehicles would be
fine. The trail was
easy, just bumpy, and way out in the middle of nowhere.

You never
know what you'll find if you keep an eye out for little
places
off of the road. Mostly it will be private
property, and you'll have to
turn around, but every now and again, you'll find a bit
of land you can
explore.
